PROPERTY DESCRIPTION
One of the most extraordinary First Period homes still in private hands, the 1678 William Haskell House overlooks the same shimmering tidal marshes where William Haskell harvested salt hay more than 3 centuries ago. Set on 2 acres of rolling lawns and marshes, the property includes the remarkably preserved original house, a substantial 1920s ell, and a magnificent antique barn. Largely untouched throughout its 340+ year history, the home offers an authentic glimpse into early New England life. A meticulous restoration has discreetly introduced modern wiring, plumbing, and geothermal heating while preserving the home's soul. Four bedrooms & 3 baths blend seamlessly into the historic fabric. The barn offers a beautifully finished entertaining room & covered porch overlooking the marshes; imagine drinks there at sunset and then dining inside below the antique timbers! An irreplaceable opportunity to become the next steward of one of New England's most remarkable historic properties!
